Building a Global Art Ecosystem

In 2020, as the pandemic closed galleries, fairs, and exhibitions from New York to Paris to Tokyo, much of the art world lost access to its physical spaces overnight. I founded Art Show International Gallery in response: an online platform where artists could keep exhibiting and keep reaching audiences across borders.

At a time of social distancing and uncertainty, it gave artists a way to stay visible, enter juried exhibitions, and put their work in front of collectors, curators, and art lovers.

Six years on, rebranded as TERAVARNA, it represents artists from 138 countries through online exhibitions, juried competitions, artist features, and interviews.

The gallery has since moved into physical space as well, organizing and taking part in shows and fairs in New York, Paris, London, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and it continues to build collaborations with galleries and art organizations across Europe and Asia.

Partnerships with Artsy and Artnet connect artists directly with collectors. Alongside the exhibitions, TERAVARNA runs studio-visit interviews, video features, and international artist spotlights — and has awarded more than $206,000 in cash grants and prizes.

In addition to exhibitions and sales channels, TERAVARNA has developed artist-focused initiatives such as studio-visit interviews, video features, and international artist spotlights. To encourage and recognize artistic excellence, the gallery has awarded more than $206,000 in cash grants and prizes to artists across its programs.
