My films explore human emotion through both experimental and narrative storytelling, often blending psychological depth with speculative ideas. ICE CREAM and THE TRANSLATOR are both concerned with memory, perception, and the subtler layers of experience. The style is introspective, moving between realism and something more conceptual.

Writing
My books include MESH: A Sci-Fi Quartet, four stories about time, consciousness, and the boundaries of reality, and WOUNDS (ক্ষত), a bilingual poetry collection paired with my own ink drawings. I Wonder Why is a children's series about the big questions in science, beginning with The Living World. I have also written popular science journalism for many years.
At the heart of this book is a single Bengali word: ক্ষত. WOUNDS (Kshata): A Bilingual Synthesis of Poetry and Art takes that one word apart and finds grief, longing, memory, and the quiet endurance of the human spirit inside it.

Nature's fragility and resilience, seen through the eyes of a young conservationist.
Angg and her father journey across the globe, meeting rare creatures: the northern bald ibis in Morocco, the wetapunga in New Zealand, the solenodon in Cuba. Each encounter explores what makes these ancient species unique, how long they have been here, and what now threatens them. Along the way Angg learns about nature's resilience and its fragility, and becomes determined to protect these living fossils.
The book balances education and entertainment, weaving scientific fact through Angg's curiosity and her growing attachment to the animals. The illustrations bring each creature and landscape to life. Whether used as a teaching tool or read at home, it is written for nature enthusiasts, budding conservationists, and families.
Chapter 1: A Bald Hair Day — In Morocco's Souss-Massa National Park, Angg discovers a world where humans have become "mothers" to the critically endangered northern bald ibis. With their scruffy feathers and comical bald heads the birds are funny to look at. Their story is not.
Chapter 2: A Whole Lotta Weta — On New Zealand's Little Barrier Island, Angg meets a giant wetapunga, a flightless insect, and learns how close it has come to disappearing. Bonding with the weta, she reflects on what humans have done to wildlife — and on what conservation can undo.
Chapter 3: The Soul of the Solenodon — In Cuba, Angg and her father meet the ancient and rare solenodon, a venomous, nocturnal mammal that has survived almost unchanged for millions of years. Struck by how vulnerable it is, Angg vows to tell its story.
